Overview
The ManKind Project USA is the United States arm of a global brotherhood of nonprofit organisations devoted to men's personal development. Founded in 1985 after a first training in Milwaukee, it has grown into one of the most established names in modern men's work, with centres and communities spread across the country.
Its flagship is the New Warrior Training Adventure (NWTA), an intensive 48-hour experiential weekend that thousands of men describe as the most powerful growth experience of their lives. Nearly 80,000 men have completed it, and the organisation frames it as a contemporary rite of passage โ a structured encounter with one's values, wounds, and sense of purpose.
Beyond the initial weekend, MKP sustains men through free, confidential, peer-facilitated groups (often called I-Groups) meeting in more than 120 communities, along with leadership and facilitation training and community "Missions of Service." The emphasis throughout is on emotional maturity, accountability, and men supporting one another over the long term.
